I am a graduate from the University of Georgia Class of 2022 with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Engineering. I am fascinated with pharmaceuticals, biomedical devices, and tissue engineering and love learning as much about them as possible and hope to pursue a career where I can make an impact and innovation changes to each of them. I have a wide variety of different work experiences that include manual labor, retail, teaching assistance in academia, research in academia, and most recently pharmaceuticals. I started working for Takeda Pharmaceuticals in June of 2022 as a Production Engineer for the fractionation and albumin manufacturing departments and have learned the ins and outs of the pharmaceutical industry and continue to learn new things every day. In addition, I also started my own business while working for Takeda that has taught me very valuable information about business and working with others called Forever Green Outdoor Services. With my wide range of academic and work experience, I have a diverse set of skills that have proven to be valuable. For one, I am very skilled in CAD design and have used multiple different programs for academic, business, and personal use. In addition, I have a very decent understanding of programing language as I have used MATLAB and R studio as well as read programming scripts for Delta V. Also, I am very skilled with all of the different Microsoft applications and even have certifications in Excel and Word. Lastly, I have a large amount of people skills and customer service as I have worked in retail, communicate with clients for my business, and have supervised coworkers in the past.

Since joining the team I have become very familiar with a variety of programs that include but are not limited to Delta V, Electronic Batch Management, VNC, and JD Edwards. In addition to these programs I have a variety of responsibilities. One of my daily responsibilities is to troubleshoot and provide timely resolutions for manufacturing and technological issues. Another daily responsibility of mine is to work with a variety of different departments that include manufacturing, quality, process, and automation to improve and deliver better results in every department. Another role of mine is to monitor the manufacturing process in the albumin and fractionation departments and to make sure everything is running smoothly and to prevent issues before they arise. Lastly, to enhance my learning experience, I attempt to work with every department on their projects and help out where I can.

In addition, I also have to make sure the company meets import deadlines for items such as the annual report, annual registration, and taxes.

General LaborerSkands Inc May 2015 - Jun 2022Toccoa, Ga, United StatesAs a general laborer, for SKANDS, I would be responsible for a variety of different tasks depending on what the job required that day. Some days would require lawn and garden care and maintenance while other days would require washing and detailing funeral cars. In addition, when their was a funeral I would have to dig the graves and oftentimes operate a track hoe. Also, some aspects to grading and construction were performed with this job through operating heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, back hoes, pans, etc., in order to landscape an area. Lastly, I was given the opportunity to supervise my coworkers after several years of experience on the job. In addition, I was able to learn a lot about the basics of business through this role as it was a family business. -

As a Research Assistant, I worked under a Research Professor and PhD student where I would develop a variety of different nanocellulose films aimed at being used as a spray to protect crops from cold weather while at the same time being biodegradable and melting away in hot weather. While in the laboratory, I was exposed to a variety of different equipment and techniques that became very useful to my skillset and experience such as centrifugation and oven heated dehydration. -

Delivery And Garden AssociateHome Depot May 2021 - May 2022Toccoa, Georgia, United StatesI started working for The Home Depot in Toccoa, Georgia in May of 2021 where I was hired on as a Deliveries Associate. While I worked this role, I would take online orders and set them aside for either in store pickup or deliveries. In addition, with this role, I would also have to take inventory of all products so that the store would know how many of each product they have and if they need to order more of a certain product. While working this role, I would also help in other areas when needed that would include lot, garden, and lumber. In February of 2022, I transferred to the Athens Home Depot where my primary role was to be a Garden Associate. As a Garden Associate I would help customers in the garden selection get what they need as well as suggest certain products that could fulfill their certain goals. In addition, I would keep inventory in the garden section to make sure the products were in stock and listed correctly. While working this job I became certified on a variety of different equipment that include the forklift, the pacer unit, the electric ladder, the overhead picker, and the reach truck. In addition, I received multiple Homer Awards and Associate of the Month Awards demonstrating excellent leadership and development while working for The Home Depot. -
Head LifeguardGeorgia Baptist Conference Center May 2017 - Aug 2019Toccoa, Georgia, United StatesAt the beginning of the summer in 2017, I became a lifeguard for the lakefront at Georgia Baptist Conference Center where I became certified in CPR and lifeguarding for pools and lakefronts. As a lifeguard, I would watch over and monitor thousands of children and adults to make sure they were following the rules properly in order to prevent injuries from happening. In addition I would clean and maintain a clean waterfront so that the campers would have a safe and enjoyable experience while they swam. My last summer working at GBCC I become one of the Head Lifeguards and made sure all the other lifeguards were arriving on time and performing their job properly. -
