Financial Controller for the Channel 4 Group reporting directly into the CFO. I led and was responsible for the activities of the FP&A, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement and Transactional Processing (AR, AP, Royalties) functions (total team of 25). Key deliverables included the annual budget and financial three-year plan and the Channel 4 Annual Report and Financial statements. Management of the financial year end and audit and lead key technical accounting judgments and issues and overall responsibility for the Channel 4 financial control environment and accounting policies.Held key external relationships with the auditors, banks, debt providers, HMRC and Government stakeholders and regularly presented financial and performance updates to these stakeholders as well as Channel 4 Board committees. Overall responsibility for the Treasury function overseeing c£1 billion receipts and payments each year ensuring cash flows were managed appropriately, financial liquidity was maintained while making improvements to working capital.

Promoted to Head of Financial Management after only 4 months and took on additional responsibility for the FP&A function for the Channel 4 Group including delivery of of the Annual Budget and Three year financial plan, monitoring financial risks and opportunities across the Group ensuring they are appropriately managed and production of robust cash flow forecasts.
