I have worked within healthcare for roughly ten years. I started as a temp working on the administrative side for Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. I attended the University of North Carolina At Charlotte where I obtained my degree in public health. Upon my graduation I worked for nearly 3 years as a Patient Advocate in a level 3 trauma center/Emergency Department. I was contacted about a potential job opportunity as a research coordinator from a former colleague which brought me over to work for my former department where I worked for Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Research. My now fiancé was getting her Masters at the University of Pittsburgh. I reached out to the study monitor for one of the studies I was on and utilizing that connection they linked me to MACRO research at the University of Pittsburgh. I worked on dozen of trials including several Covid Specific studies that studied the effects of potential treatment options for those infected with Covid-19. This was a truly gratifying experience. I worked for MACRO for almost 2 years while my fiancé finished her program. Upon completion she got a job opportunity in Atlanta, GA where we have since moved. I am now in the process of looking for a position as a Clinical Research Coordinator or Patient Advocate in Atlanta and the surrounding area.
