Serves as the independent technical authority of the US Economic Development Administration directly to government, non-profit, regional, educational, and private stakeholders across the State of Indiana and Louisiana. Supported The US Economic Development Administration’s Chicago Regional Office during the organization’s historic roll out of approximately $117 million of CARES Act funding, $100 million of ARPA funding, and $50 million of Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance funding. This represents an approximate 500% increase in awards over a two-year period.

Managed, maintained, and constrained the transit portion of NIRPC’s 5-year transportation spending plan; exceeding $1.5 billion of transit funding for operations, construction, and capital purchasing. Coordinated regularly with state and federal partners to monitor constant changes to transit and transportation policy. Facilitated the Transit Operators Roundtable - a group of transit operators that regularly make policy recommendations to funding agencies and regional transportation stakeholders.

Planned and coordinated CNU’s annual conference, administered CNU’s annual request for New Urban Research, wrote press releases and news articles related to CNU, as well as basic office and receptionist work.

Assisted the Campus Advocacy Network and their aims of a violence-free campus by organizing and educating individual students and organizations about CAN services and the individual’s rights surrounding sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and hate crimes. I also assisted with other programs brought out of our parent office, the Women’s Leadership and Resource Center.

Supported Architreasures’s goals of creating creative community spaces by designing and publishing a series of comprehensive GIS and Google Earth maps to use on their web site and for use with grant writing.

Completed a variety of special tasks as they were assigned by the Dean of Students and Associate Deans. Tasks included drafting informational fliers, working at a reception desk, IT management, and the management of various aspects of the office as ours merged with another during a hectic transition.

Organized and assisted in various projects associated with Eco-Andersonville’s green business certification program. Responsibilities included collaboration in the publication of a “green business checklist” and resource library, organizing and managing community meetings with residents and business owners of Andersonville, and individual case management of businesses.

Appointed by former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich as the sole voting student member of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees to represent students across all three university campuses to the highest level of decision making. Tenure also involved specific initiatives and projects local to the Chicago campus as well as personally managing students and a $14,000 budget.
