    Designed and programmed DSS Satellite bit stream software tools for DirecTV to be used for automated testing purposes. I was a technical design lead and designed/programmed tools using Visual C++ and MFC. The resulting satellite bit streams were stored on CD-ROM and sold to manufacturers of Integrated Receiver/Decoder’s to verify the correct operation of their devices. Communications protocols were embedded in these bit streams with various levels of encapsulation such as IP/UDP headers, Multipacket Transport Protocol, BARP, HTML, etc. I also did some design on a new object oriented Advanced Program Guide tool and worked on an application to capture or generate DSS Satellite bit streams using a newly written Windows NT driver.
