I am a magna cum laude graduate from Arizona State University’s Supply Chain Management program, winner of the Boeing corporate SCM Scholarship, lifelong learner, and a rabid Deming fan.I have been working in the SCM field for nearly twenty years as a green coffee procurement specialist, SOP developer, project leader, process analyst & general manager with direct reports. Throughout my supply chain management courses I was able to connect real life experiences to theoretical academic examples and was considered by my instructors as a leader and an excellent resource for my peers. I served as leader for several class projects and was able to bring result driven proof of concept from projects by lowering cost for local coffee shop by $26,000 a year. I have studied food insecurities and food deserts through my sustainability minor and have studied permaculture/function stacking as a personal interest, all of which are applicable to delivering a quality product while doing the least amount of harm to the environment, the equity and inclusion of the workers/bystanders of a system, and the economic growth of stakeholders.I am an older student who had to work fulltime during my undergraduate and earning that degree taught me many things; I am not afraid to speak up, roll up my sleeves, chip in, play along, or follow orders. I feel that my previous customer facing work experience is something that cannot be taught in school; I learned patience, I learned to understand and value people from all walks of life, I learned to get stuff done, I learned to be resourceful in finding solutions, and I learned to ask questions to better understand the customer, and above all else I learned how to work hard.
