About Tien Tran
I am the eldest daughter of an immigrant family who came to America to achieve the American Dream. I am enthusiastic about using data analysis to discover insights and trends. At my first internship at the office of Seattle Council President Bruce A. Harrell, I helped process website updates, manage and develop recruitment sites to help job seekers in Seattle, and completed other projects on data analysis. At the end of my first internship, I sought and received a promotion to an Information Technology Intern, where I am continuing to expand my scripting and statistical language knowledge. I apply data interpretation, and spreadsheet analytics skills on several projects using Microsoft Access, Tableau, and Perl. My work of maintaining inventory allows IT staff to view and print new/current computers and users’ information easily and more efficiently. These unique experiences helped shape my good understanding of all applicable policies, laws, and procedures. They continue my passion for data analytics and the work of making an improvement on complicated systems.
