Moving full scale into Risk and Compliance management within the organisation, handing over the remaining Operations and technology responsibilities to give this complex role the attention it demands, keeping on top of the risks and accreditations in the ITAD industry.

My role has shifted more heavily towards the compliance and governance aspect of Blackmore’s accreditations and certifications. A key responsibility being the maintenance of an IMS consolidating our ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001, Cyber Essentials Plus and ADISA certifications. I operate compliance control across all departments, including supplier risk audits and management of COSSH, IS and OH&S risk assessment, operating procedures, process flows and business continuity planning.I perform internal audits and gap analysis for evolving standards, along with hosting surveillance and certification audits. I change manage the operational side of the organisation and work closely with our software development team to ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation, while striving to improve the systems and infrastructure in line with demands of key internal and external stakeholders. I also function in an oversight role for the Facility Manager and the Head of Sales – assisting them in enacting changes to processes or in dealing with the unexpected, whilst keeping an eye on GDPR compliance along with our client specific requirements and other relevant certifications.I represent Blackmore as a part of the ADISA Standard’s Steering Committee, and other groups such as their POPs Compliance Committee. I’ve helped to represent Blackmore at other trade body meetings and events, ensuring the business interests are at the forefront of new developments in the industry, and forging connections with key suppliers and partners for future projects.I am also responsible for the IT infrastructure, working to maintain continuity of the systems in line with the various accreditations and our specific ITAD industry nuances. I support the Windows Server environment AD, Office 365, telephony and WAN infrastructure – this includes supplier management and licencing.

Responsible for the coordination and overall delivery of a site-wide facility refit. Blackmore Ricotech are investing heavily in the future, committing to a facility development programme introducing mechanisation to the processing of redundant IT assets, modernising our secure data destruction processes. Split role of Operations Manager for the material processing side of the business along with Systems Administrator and lead developer for all technical aspects of the organisation.Within this role I also maintained the operational adherence to the ADISA standard and our ISO accreditation, hosting audits and providing operational or technical insight where required.Responsible for the secure processing component of Blackmore Ricotech's offering - ensuring that we could meet customer's expectations and help them ensure that they remained compliant of their WEEE regulation and DPA/GDPR obligations.Responsible for the business critical infrastructure, backups central to the business continuity plan and development of the internal software solution.Supported all of the IT infrastructure through a period of low investment in this area, bringing the systems up to meet the Cyber Essentials standard and then facilitated the migration of IT support and services to a third party specialist with whom I act as a key contact for support and project work.

Continuation of my previous Operations Management role, with more emphasis on looking after technical aspects of the organisation.

Established and co-managed a subsidiary (SparesPeople) within the re-marketing side of the organisation - introducing revolutionary new methods to achieve greater efficiency and a higher turnover, tailored service for our customers with special requirements. Turned around various contracts to deliver better profitability for our customers and Blackmore. Eventually merged SparesPeople back into the main business, rolling out the methodology site wide - managing this process and the team ongoing.

Worked as 1st and 2nd line technical support for client's customers, supporting a wide range of consumer electronics - specialising in mobile telephony, tablets and home computing. I also supported the organisations IT team with desktop support and administration.
