Responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of an interface connecting SAP to Shell's rack control system (Toptech). The project was called ICE (Interface Complex Engine); this near real time system allowed SAP and other systems to send down order, account, and credit information that was used by Shell for planning and scheduling gas deliveries to Shell's end customers.Major contributor to the design and implementation of an order fulfillment web application. This application was used by both Shell and Texaco during the consolidation of Shell Oil and Texaco terminal operations.As the application technical specialist, I was responsible for representing the ICE applications with various business groups to analyze requirements, develop new solutions, and manage business expectations when making recommendations based on their requirements and impact to the system architecture. Provided business analysis and technical support to several projects involving billions of dollars in terminal sales and revenues. I worked with users at many levels; from end user to upper management. Was able to adjust my communication style according to the target audience, which allowed me to influence decisions concerning the application as well as to provide non-technical business process solutions quickly, clearly, and effectively.

This system provided end to end scheduling of shuttle and rocket launches.Responsible for the analysis, design and implementation of a scheduling editor for the Strategic Toolkit for Automated Ranges (STAR) system. The application allowed schedulers to enter data in a free form manner and have it imported correctly into the STAR system database. This reduced errors and scheduler training time.Established and maintained the software development environment for RSA software engineers. Responsibilities included hardware, software, and system administration.

Worked under contract for the NSA to design and implemented software for the Secure Network Administration Research Effort (SNARE). This project enabled users to encrypt TCPIP packets at the lowest level for the transmission of data between systems. I also wrote and modified several applications to use this new encryption functionality.Worked under contract for NASA developing software for the space shuttle orbiter pre-launch verification (CORE) project for NASA in the data acquisition and control area. Developed code in VADS Ada on a Motorola 680x0 platform to test and integrate a front-end processor.
