Jim is a health care business founder and operator with strong P&L management experience combined with demonstrated success at startups and Fortune 500 companies, with board service and M&A experience. Currently Jim is owner/operator at Sameem Behavioral Health, LLC, in Newton Highlands. Sameem is an outpatient mental and behavioral health practice with a Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) licensed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS). Sameem serves adolescents and adults suffering from Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders. Sameem's unique program offer three levels of care: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Enhanced Support, and Long-term Healthy Living. Sameem's unique approach, pioneered by Chief Clinical Officer Matt Green, integrates IOP patients with participants from Long-term Healthy Living who have been sober for years. This dramatically improves clinical outcomes for IOP patients.Prior to Sameem, Jim founded Connected Home Care, raised money for a successful leveraged buyout, built revenues to nearly $20M, and exited to a larger player after 5 years as CEO. He now serves as Executive Director of Sameem Associates, Inc., a growing, highly-regarded outpatient behavioral health practice focusing on Substance Use Disorder (SUD) an co-occurring disorers. He is preparing the company for fast growth, expanded service lines, and geographic expansion. At Connected, Jim designed and built an end to end software application for the home care industry, with mobile workforce management features, recruiting & retention modules to address workforce availability, and crucial data collection components to use in home health care settings to improve care outcomes & reduce care costs. Following the merger of Connected Home Care into a larger player (HouseWorks, LLC), the software was spun out into a separate company, eCaring.com, where Jim remains an investor.Prior to entering the home care industry, Jim held several positions at IBM Global Services, including serving as the first National Practice Leader for Mobile & Wireless Services in the early 2000s. Jim holds an MBA from Wharton School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Princeton.
