- Researched and prepared memoranda in support of clients’ position on various legislation; distributed memoranda to senators and assemblymen for their review and consideration.- Attended committee hearings to determine how members planned to vote; followed up with senators and assemblymen in person and by telephone to discuss their positions and lobby on behalf of clients’ position.- Planned and executed all aspects of fact-finding trip for a dozen senators, assemblymen and staff from Sacramento to the Port of Oakland, including arranging round trip transportation via Amtrak, meeting with Port officials, touring the facility and discussing upcoming legislation impacting the Port.
