Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach
CurrentI am a Leadership Coach / Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach using the Clifton Strengths assessment (taken 30 million+ times globally).A strengths-based approach to work and life always sounds so simple when I describe this to clients. The reality? Change can take time and effort - yes. However...The beauty in flipping from a deficit-based approach to focus on what someone is innately good at, understanding this, how this helps them to succeed or derails them and how this fits in with others, then lots of positive things start to happen.Self-awareness brings an understanding of your unique identity, how to put strengths to work, how to communicate value and needs, which brings confidence. Managers understand team dynamics and how to create winning partnerships and more productive teams. They can coach rather than manage. Leaders can operate more authentically through their strengths and role model who they are authentically. All of Gallup's research shows the benefit of strengths-based coaching:- 7% to 27% higher employee engagement- 8% to 18% increase in performance- 20% to 73% lower attrition- 3 times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life- 6 times as likely to strongly agree that they have the opportunity to do what they do best every day. This is what gives me energy, and why I get out of bed each day.
