About James (Jay) Gagen

I help innovative companies solve complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes. I spend a lot of time litigating hi-tech patent litigation matters in the US International Trade Commission and in US district courts (mostly Texas/California/Delaware). Over the course of my career, however, I have handled all sorts of cases, from antitrust to trade to securities to white collar-- I love competing, and will jump at the chance to be in court. Particularly in the last several years, my work has taken me around the world, and it has been such a great experience to meet and connect with new people in new places (and try new food). I currently serve as President of the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Ballet Theatre, a non-profit ballet and arts organization serving the Montgomery County, Maryland, area.
