My career started in 1973 and progressed from drafting trainee through the many levels of engineering technician/designer and culminated at the level of lead designer. My experiences included pencil on paper/vellum/mylar, ink on mylar, 4014 freestanding Autotrol workstation via Autotrol mainframe utilizing GS1000 software, full-size flatbed plotters, full-size vertical plotters, desktop CPU's from the humble beginnings of the "286" with 12" monitors through the high performance I7 desktop CPU's of today with monitors of almost limitless size. Duties ranging from drafting/designing, programming using Batch Files, AutoLisp, VBA for Microstation, to resident engineer/construction inspection across much of the United States including an overseas assignment that would include Indonesia. These experiences provided a great deal of satisfaction throughout my career, memories of which I will always hold near and dear to my heart. As with all things in life there is a natural progression of duties that lead to new and different experiences. I have recently reached one of the most profound and pivotal points in my life. This "point" is RETIREMENT. Drawing upon all the years of my experiences as a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, I will now turn my full attention to providing love, guidance, encouragement and support to all my loved ones beginning with my wife, grown children and grandchildren. My life's "happiness co-efficient" meter is now officially "pegged". I feel incredibly blessed to have achieved such a position in life. Having stated all of this I must now give thanks, praise and honor to my Heavenly Father through my Lord Jesus Christ from whom all good things come.
