Deputy Integration DirectorJoined integration team as purchase of Banco Zaragozano by Barclays Spain (for €1.1bn) was legally completing to create the sixth largest bank in Spain. Initially set up IT and Operations workstreams within overall integration programme before becoming deputy integration director with a wider remit.- Oversight of all change activity associated with the integration within annual budget in excess of €70m.Operations / Rationalisation Programme ManagementManaged a Spanish team to integrate all operations areas of the two banks. - This programme included an initiative to centralise the branch administration workload of 400 branches. IT Integration Management - Established the IT programme team (over 350 staff).- Negotiated contracts with key suppliers (e.g. Accenture, Getronics, DMR). - Ensured IT infrastructure and application strategy conformed with Barclays standards & overall strategy would fit business and integration goals.

- Focused on IT strategic planning and internal consultancy across Barclays Group including Offshore strategy definition, prioritisation of overall strategic investment, definition of an overall IT and Operations roadmap, eBusiness strategy definition across all Barclays business units

cahoot - Managed the development of cahoot’s User Interface for the Web, WAP and Digital TV four months prior to the the bank launching for a total of 14 months. Proxicom had been working with cahoot for two years to establish their customer proposition and strategy, and with IBM had begun to build the banking infrastructure. My role was to manage the user interface development team DrKW - Managed a team of 15 people to build java applications within a demanding investment banking environment.

Joined Computacenter's graduate training scheme as a project manager. Initially implemented workflow systems in blue chip organisations such as Halifax, Littlewoods and BNP Paribas before becoming involved in web-based solutions.
