Damage Control Subject Matter Expert For Engineering Readiness Assist Team (Erat), Mayport
Currento Collects data through observation and by meeting with watch standers and damage control systems personnel on CNSL ships. o Works with the ships' crew and observes, inspects, and provides recommended remediation to the Ship's Commanding Officer (CO) to improve shipboard material condition. o Based on these assessments, provides automated work requests (AWR) to the Commanding Officer at the completion of each visit. Review ships' Current Ship Maintenance Project (CSMP) prior to arriving on board for an ERAT Visit and provide a report of recommended material corrections to ship's Maintenance Material Management Coordinator (3MC) and Commanding Officer during the Arrival Brief. o Provides a report for correction of ship's imminent material failure items and a report of each visited ship's overall material discrepancies report; identify and provide recommendations for required repair parts; generates maintenance ready Automatic Work Requests (AWRs) for material discrepancies; identifies and recommends maintenance items requiring CASREP or Type Assist (T/A 1 - Depot Level) work assignment; identifies T/A 4 (T/A 4, work items within the ship's force capability to repair) and Non-T/A 4 jobs at conclusion of visit; work with the ship's crew to train and provide immediate feedback on the crew's capabilities. o Develops and provides a Government-owned, tailored curriculum for use in a ship-specific, classroom training setting utilizing Technical Manuals and associated Tactical Memos and instructions, as well as utilizing technical documentation pertaining ship's crew damage control systems' related duties/ responsibilities. o Incorporates into the curriculum, applicable lessons-learned from Deck conferences, working groups, Hot Wash Ups, Baseline Program reviews, recent waterfront experience for continuous process improvement, lessons learned conferences, and other sources as provided by the government.
