In collaboration with college and department staff, and following UIC brand identity guidelines, lead the development and implementation of a plan that effectively markets the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs (CUPPA) degree programs to prospective students.Work with College and department staff to develop and maintain high quality digital and print marketing materials and recruitment presentations that communicate the strengths of the college’s degree programs to prospective students, parents, and others.Assist college communications team on planning and maintenance of an innovative social media presence for the college in support of student recruitment and alumni engagement.Work with CUPPA academic departments and UIC’s Academic Enrollment Services (AES) to develop college recruitment priorities and an annual calendar of college-specific recruitment programming activities.Connect prospects as appropriate to faculty, staff, current students, and alumni.Utilize campus tools and resources provided by AES such as Slate for prospect management. Efforts have resulted in a 16% increase in application volume from recruitment territory.Counsel prospective and current applicants through the college application process while conducting intensive file review of over 1,000 applicants. Utilize professional judgment in conducting a holistic review of each application.

Manage Company level Fire Support Officers; supervise proper training of Battalion Field Artillery Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and Soldiers; oversee public affairs in the Battalion area of Chapman, Kansas; provide logistical support and manpower to assist local schools and school districts; manage media and public outreach opportunities for the Battalion.

Headquarters Platoon Leader and Company Intelligence Officer responsible for the rapid collection and dissemination of vital and relevant intelligence data while serving and patrolling in the Company area of responsibility in Baghdad, Iraq; managed over $3 million worth of U.S. Army property and ensured the proper care, safety and well-being of 25 United States Soldiers while deployed.

Ranking Officer responsible for the management and performance of four United States Soldiers in charge of the communications capabilities at the Battalion level; assisted Commanders and Batteries with communications issues and requirements.

Began the official college Facebook page; created videos showing typical student life at St. Norbert; provided information regarding upcoming college events to potential students; promoted the college online; hired and oversaw the telecounseling intern; attended admissions events as a student representative of St. Norbert College.
