I have lived in the U.S. American Midwest, western Canada, and Germany, with research visits throughout Europe and to Ethiopia. Common threads in my diverse work and life experiences include deep curiosity, the ability to learn and adapt to new tasks and settings, a person-centered approach to work and research, and a commitment to bringing theory and praxis together to promote justice and well-being. Currently preparing my dissertation on medieval African scriptural commentaries for publication and conducting a qualitative research study on belief in the demonic and participation in trauma-focused therapy.
