I am a doctoral student in Philologie des christlichen Orients (Oriental Christian Philology). My project is the first critical edition and English translation of medieval Ethiopic commentaries to the Book of Daniel.

I was employed as a doctoral fellow at Distant Worlds in the Munich Graduate School for Ancient Studies, a program that brings together principal investigators, post-doctoral researchers, and doctoral researchers in a wide range of philological and archaeological ancient studies disciplines. In addition to working on our own individual research projects, we engage in and organize seminars, workshops, and research trips that bring our diverse work into conversation with theory and method. I was a member of the group "Organization of Memory and Forgetting."

I was a project worker for a DFG-funded project to create a new critical edition and translation of the Ge'ez (Ethiopic) version of 1Enoch. My primary role involved correction of manuscript transcriptions.

I facilitated a monthly English conversation course. Each month we discussed a different topic, including: the U.S. election, artificial intelligence, Canadian culture, and Quakerism. I prepared readings and vocabulary lists beforehand to serve as a basis for the discussion and invited other native English speakers with subject matter knowledge to participate.
