As Executive Director I oversee all operational and business development activities of Indoor Biotechnologies Ltd, my responsibilities include:• Entrepreneurial expansion of product sales and laboratory services in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East through building on IBL strengths in the allergy field as well as identifying new markets and business opportunities.• Synchronisation of a global business development strategy with Indoor Biotechnologies Inc by maintaining effective communications and liaison.• Overseeing the operation of IBL’s analytical laboratory services, including environmental tests, immunodiagnostic tests and assays for immunologic and other biomarkers using immunoassays or DNA based techniques. • Expanding the molecular diagnostic and contract research capabilities of IBL’s analytical services laboratory.• Implementation of quality control and assurance procedures in compliance with ISO 17025 standards.• Contributing towards the growth of the company’s intellectual property and know-how through the development of proprietary techniques, methods, processes and procedures.• Establishing collaborative R&D activities and actively seeking partnerships with academia and with the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

As Scientific Operations Manager my responsibilities were to:• Set up a state-of-the-art services laboratory for Indoor Biotechnologies in the UK.• Direct, supervise and implement a broad spectrum of analytical laboratory services, including environmental allergen testing, immunodiagnostic IgE tests and assays for immunologic and other biomarkers using immunoassays or DNA based techniques. • Establish collaborative R&D activities and partnerships with academic investigators and with other companies. Including contract research and testing of allergen control products.• Oversee business development of Indoor Biotechnologies Ltd.’s service laboratory, with responsibilities for entrepreneurial expansion of laboratory services in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.• Prepare scientific and technical data for scientific presentations, grant applications, publication in scientific journals and for use in marketing and promotional materials. • Contribute towards the growth of the company’s intellectual property and know-how; developing proprietary techniques, methods, processes and procedures.• Obtain funding for R&D and innovation activities through applications for small business grants, awards and other grant applications.

Professional Training Year as part of my undergraduate degree. The main focus of my work was to investigate the allergens which cause cockroach allergy.
