I've led two major upgrades of a large mission-critical enterprise application - our electrical Outage Management/Distribution Management system (OMS/DMS) for San Diego Gas & Electric. This application is heavily integrated with internal SCADA, CIS, GIS, Smart Meter, and Mobile workforce systems.We also implemented Distribution Management System (DMS) features that model distributed energy resources (DER), such as photovoltaic, wind, and energy storage.Previous Projects I've led include:* Two major upgrades of homegrown Java/JSF/Tomcat/SQL/hibernate/Spring/Bootstrap application, integration with PayPal/Braintree* 4 MW Solar farm with smart inverters and remote data communications and control* Microgrid at Santa Ysabel Substation piloting a new standalone perpetual power source for critical loads* Microgrid at Civita Communities* Solar and energy storage at Del Lago Academy* Solar and EV charging at Escondido Park & Ride* Solar-to-EV proof of concept/pilot at San Diego Zoo* Development of smart grid SCADA communication networks, remote access, and data monitoring and control.
