About James Jimenez
I started working in the civil service right out of university. I started as the Executive Assistant to the then Court Administrator Justice Alfredo L. Benipayo. I later found myself at the COMELEC where I handled the special projects of the Chairman. I joined the Abalos Commission in 2004, after the elections. I was designated Spokesman of the Commission early in 2006, mainly to handle the People's Initiative issue. When that affair was concluded, I continued in my role as Spokesman through the May elections and on until today. As Director of the Education and Information Department of the COMELEC, I strengthened the Commission's on-line presence with several highly interactive websites. This has given the public a window into COMELEC operations and provided them with a mechanism by which feedback is given directly to the COMELEC.Specialties: Writing, public speaking
