Leading a talented group of people through a transition period. Interim leadership position while a Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching Innovation) was appointed. After this appointment I remained in an executive officer type role co-ordinating the significant structural change being undertaken and acting in the PVC role for 2 months.Role included:• Leadership of CILT which provides academic support, teaching quality, learning design, LMS management, eLearning support service to the University. A team of 35 including academic staff, systems admin, learning designers and project officers. Non-salaries budget of $200K.• Manage the CILT involvement in a set of strategic university projects.• Identify potential new online undergraduate courses to meet strategic focus of the university. Propose funding and learning design resourcing for the development of the courses.• Design integrated service structure for teaching and learning division as part of a large-scale change process. This included: task analysis, identifying areas for efficiency gains, negotiating service responsibilities, centralising services from discrete units of the university, writing the proposal documentation and presenting the design to high-level stakeholders.• Provide strategic advice to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) on areas of online learning and academic development.
