As a Rights Clearance expert with over 20 years of action, ability and experience, my career began as an event and concert photographer. I shot numerous pop culture personalities around New York City including Tupac Shakur, Beastie Boys, The Strokes, Fiona Apple, Lenny Kravitz, amongst many others. My photographs have been published in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Parade Magazine and others. This gave me a unique perspective on intellectual property licensing that considers all of the creative, business and legal aspects.My rights and licensing experience began with the celebrity portraiture agency, Outline Press. With a high caliber of top photographers and the visibility of premier client publications, I quickly found working in licensing gave me a solid ground to expand on my interest in the business and legal side of what I was doing creatively.This interest continued with Rights Clearances at Corbis. There, I expanded into working with not just licensing images, but research and clearing rights on footage, music, celebrities, properties, and artwork.Jumping over to the broadcast media side at Viacom enhanced my licensing and clearance skills. This gave me a front line opportunity into managing workflow of all the different levels on shows and brands such as VH1's Behind The Music, Nickelodeon's Kids Choice and numerous other show brands.I’ve managed clearing iconic intellectual properties and elements for projects that have been seen, heard and experienced by people around the world. My expertise, industry knowledge and collaborative work ethic enables me to manage all angles of a project from creative, to business to legal.
