Leveraged operational expertise and creative vision to birth two change management initiatives, the Leading Edge Forum and the Spirit of Performance video series. Oversaw the full creation, planning, and execution of both products. Responsible for budget ($2M+), contract oversight, 20+ person team, metrics, and validation.Leading Edge Forum I (2008) was an atypical, innovative leadership development opportunity for operational managers at the FAA. Used private industry best practices to deliver previously unseen, highly effective communication and leadership skills to identified management change agents throughout the FAA. Attendees were then charged with a “pay it forward” responsibility to become leaders within leaders which created a secondary wave of change.Spirit of Performance (2008) video set was an award-winning strategic communications effort to restore pride in the name of public service and to serve as a catalyst for employee engagement and dialog. The series demonstrated exceptionally high production value and delivered powerful messaging with open endings to prompt discussion and feedback. Series was one of the first major efforts to address poor employee viewpoint numbers for the FAA. Leading Edge Forum II (2009) built upon the success of the first year to reach even more of the managerial workforce. Established goals of having the Director of Operations in face to face discussions with the entire operational workforce and for leveraging social media which, as of that time, was an untapped resource. Accomplished both objectives furthering the efforts to rebuild existing relationships while creating new pathways for leadership and innovation.Combined, these three initiatives played critical roles in arresting the free-fall employee engagement survey results and placed the FAA on the current steady improvement it has demonstrated over the last five years.
