I am a Board Director, Committee Member, and Head of Global Markets with over a decade of board-level experience, particularly in the NfP sector, asset management, wholesale banking, and financial markets segments. I have also accumulated considerable exposure to ASX-listed corporates, the country’s largest superannuation funds, wealth management entities, insurance companies, wholesale and private banks, and private equity portfolio companies. In an executive capacity, I have been the Head of Global Markets of BNP Paribas Australia for a decade, and previously I held the role of Head of Fixed Income. Here I designed and implemented the BNP Paribas Global Markets strategy for Australia and ensured the delivery of the sustainable finance and investment strategy, with a 275% increase in client revenue over the last 10 years and a significant increase in client ‘share of wallet’ as measured by Coalition and Peter Lee.. Previously I was the Head of Fixed Income Sales at Nomura Australia. In this role, I transitioned the Australian Fixed Income sales desk from a low-growth, moderately successful flow product-oriented business to a high-growth, very successful, structured product-oriented business and increased the sales revenue fourfold between 2001 and 2006. At board level, what I do is drive financial rigour and develop strategy. I do that whilst also leveraging my broad knowledge and experience in many areas of risk - market, investment, credit, liquidity, regulatory, conduct, and operational. In addition, I guide market access and the client engagement process, and ensure compliance with all necessary parameters. Board-level highlights include: Committee Member for AFMA, Markets Governance; Board Director of the Woods Cottage Foundation; Class Bursary Committee Member of The Old Ignatians Union, and an Executive Member at Nomura Australia. Finally, I have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment. I am also a graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course.
