Responsible for ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to and policies/practices are adopted. Planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing protective and preventative measures required and working consistently to minimise operational losses/downtime, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. Investigating all on-site and off-site incidents/accidents and compiling reports to best advise on lessons learnt. Instructing all levels of work force in the education of Safety, Health, Environment and Fire.

Key Achievements: Responsible for organisation and implementation of all Safety and Security procedures as part of a successful large-scale event with over 2000 staff including VIPs and Royalty. Liaising closely with emergency services and ensuring that all potential hazards and risks were adequately controlled throughout.

 Developed and implemented a bespoke Excel programme for use across all Defence Estates to aid in the reduction of the occupational disease, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS). This work was officially recognised at an innovation awards ceremony in 2013 and a Defence Award Scheme for improving efficiency and organisation within the MoD, recognising the values of the contribution.
