Managed the US Navy’s partnership with the ROK Navy and a oversaw variety of international interactions.● Liaisoned between the US and Korean (ROK) Navies on critical issues to help identify and surmount barriers to interoperability. Identified numerous cultural obstacles and implemented solutions to reduce friction and strengthen relationships. Received numerous awards, including a Naval Commendation.● Selected to coordinate former President G.W. Bush’s official visit to the ROK Navy. Overcame hurdles to successfully integrate multiple Korean and US entities with President Bush’s staff to create a coordinated team. As a F/A­18C Hornet and S-3B pilot, led combat operations in close proximity to US troops on missions over Iraq and Afghanistan. Led over 60 enlisted, senior enlisted, and officers in the squadron’s maintenance dept. Flew over 1,500 flight hours and made 252 carrier landings.● Planned, organized, and led multiple large scale exercises and operational missions over Iraq and Afghanistan. Earned Mission Commander qualification years ahead of peers. Led divisions of up to 60 sailors and airmen during overseas deployments.● As a US Navy College’s representative afloat, identified impediments to successful course completion for sailors taking college courses aboard USS Harry Truman. Modified existing program and produced an unprecedented college course completion rate 50 percentage points higher than the fleet’s average, setting a US Navy record.● As squadron training officer, studied combat readiness matricies and algorithms and became a respected subject matter expert. Developed a predictive scheduling methodology which permitted the squadron to predict readiness factors in advance and target individual aircrew for needed training, successfully overcoming a period of under­funding.
