I founded the second iteration of the Meritech brand by purchasing patents, other IP and assets from the original founders who couldn't make the patented products work as solely a healthcare value proposition. Ground up rebuild and restart of a company that designed, manufactured and commercialized the world's only fully automated, completely touch-free hand hygiene systems (12 second wash/rinse cycle). Created an entirely new product category (automated handwashing) in many markets, including food production, food service, commissaries, healthcare, pharma and "away from home" markets like cruise, theme parks and public use.During my tenure as CEO, we introduced dozens of new products and new product categories, created a sustainable business with 2 recurring revenue streams, and created a customer centric value proposition (automation, validation, repeatability) and built a culture of exceptional customer service and customer care. I successfully navigated the company through the great recession, through challenges by the FDA (we won), and through the challenges of building a great sales and marketing team to achieve 20%+ growth in each of the last 5 years under my leadership. I identified new industries, developed new fully automated products with a team of engineers and designers and introduced them to market each year, and developed an international sales program resulting in successful introduction of Meritech's hygiene product offering in the EU, Canad, Central America, India and the Far East. My most significant achievement (and greatest learning experience!) was the process of rebranding the company, helping to create a cutting edge marketing program that evolved in many directions over time, helping to build and manage a data driven sales team of high performers, and creating a new hygiene category that produced efficiency and validated systems for thousands customers.Successfully exited the investment via sale to a PE fund in January 2019

Led the formation and start up of a design and engineering driven manufacturing company that grew from ~$10 million in sales with platform acquisition to almost $100 million in sales out of 4 manufacturing facilities in 9 years. Employing 450 people at the time of successful exit of the investment, Core Systems manufacturing highly engineered components, micro molded parts, and complex assemblies for Fortune 500 customers in North America. CAGR of 25% per year for much of that time.ISO certified within 2 years of formation, the company also integrated Lean Manufacturing principles, trained and employed several Six Sigma Black Belts (and numerous Green Belts!) and implemented a rigorous continuous improvement program to meet goals in all critical areas, including waste reduction, labor efficiency, asset utilization/downtime, on time delivery, various quality metrics and overall customer satisfaction. Worked closely with all stakeholders, including PE firms, mezzanine debt lenders, senior lenders and banking partners as Chair of the BOD. Worked closely with communities in which we operated to be a good corporate citizen. Built an organizational culture of high energy and engagement by empowering employees to effect change, collaborate in an environment of transparency and trust, and adopting a shared commitment to accountability and team cohesion.Successful exit of the investment via sale to a PE firm.
