I’m the CrossFit guy who talks on (and on) about transformation. I wasn't a high-school or college athlete and thought playing with my toddler children would keep me fit. After attending my first CrossFit class in December 2010 with my sister-in-law coach, I was very humbled—“lay down in a shower stall, please drive me home…humbled.” It was the wake-up call I needed. I awoke the next morning and began my quest to become as fit as I could be by the age of 40, which was my birthday that first year of CrossFit. I also started following the Paleo diet that same day.And now? I feel like an athlete, like a machine. I am confident and prepared for whatever life hands me and ready to conquer it with might—whether that’s doing deadlifts, picking up both toddlers in one bundle, running a 5k or biking 30 miles while towing both kids. CrossFit has given me the blueprint to succeed at life.That journey has lead me to a much stronger, leaner self and made such an impact on me that I became a coach to be able to share this fitness and nutritional energy with others. I have lost weight, lost shirt and pant sizes and gained a new image of self-confidence. It’s mind-boggling to me that these results came from things as simple as fruits, vegetables, pushups and pull-ups. Just ask me, I will surely go on (and on) about what CrossFit can do for you.
