• Provided level 3 technical support researching and resolving defects and performance issues in existing stored procedures and SSRS reports.• Worked with the Product Team and senior management to build a new SSRS report to simplify and improve the reporting time for medical coders using the core CAC (Computer Assisted Coding) application. This report provided key metrics for clients to evaluate the impact of the CAC application on medical coding time.• Documented and performed quarterly updates to the QA environment involving detaching and attaching multiple SQL databases, removing and adding those databases from the AlwaysOn Availability group, and assigning appropriate security rights. The documentation clearly detailed all of the steps so that anyone could perform the update which saved time, removed unknowns and ensured no steps were missed.

• Designed, built, implemented, and maintained a SQL-based system to automate revenue billing, reporting, and forecasting for the Ad Operations department. Compiled email delivery data for load to AdBook (SaaS-based sales and operations system) so that revenue data could be sent back to SQL via flat files for further processing. The SQL-based revenue data allowed for more varied and flexible reporting than what was available via AdBook’s user interface. Created the data model for this revenue project and built 30 SQL tables and 13 stored procedures.• Saved over 40 hours of report preparation time per month by building an Excel macro that took a flat-file download from AdBook and generated over 70 Excel workbooks in approximately 90 minutes. The Excel macro included a custom form that allowed users to specify various reporting options so that each division within Ad Operations could use the same workbook. With the large time savings in report generation, the reports could be generated weekly to provide more timely and accurate reporting on client email campaigns.• In order to augment revenue reporting and meet contractual needs, rewrote Ad Operation’s marketing credit system in SQL by designing a new data model and building 15 tables and 7 stored procedures. The new system introduced four new types of marketing credits, allowed for near real-time updates to marketing credit forecasts, and provided a more in-depth audit trail into the creation and disposition of marketing credits.• Taught SQL to members of the Ad Operations department. Trained users how to link Excel workbooks directly to a SQL reporting database which became the standard for most of the department’s reporting and allowed for much more timely and accurate data.

• Developed a top 10 client report for senior management that consolidated data from three SQL databases to provide an overview of the company’s appraisal business. This daily report gave details on the current stage of all open orders and provided 90-day, 30-day, and prior-day financial data. This was the first automated report to combine appraisal data from all three systems.• Designed and built an Access 2007 database to provide a client-specific pricing and gross margin estimate using a myriad of factors including weighted average costs based upon state and product allocations. This proof-of-concept database gave users immediate feedback on the pricing and margin that resulted from changing numerous revenue and cost assumptions.• Worked with business analysts and developers to migrate over twenty-five SQL Reporting Services reports from a stand-alone system to our division’s core platform.• Coordinated report development with our India team by gathering and clarifying requirements, answering questions, and reviewing code.

• Worked with the senior inventory analyst to design and develop a process to project inventory balances based upon existing sales quotes, sales orders, credit orders, purchase orders, debit orders, and work orders. The process encapsulated the business logic unique to Verari’s inventory and gave the user full flexibility on what documents to include or exclude in the inventory projection. This process gave management access to various what-if scenarios within minutes to better plan production. • Designed a Balance Sheet and two Income Statements (internal and external) in SQL Reporting Services for the Controller and Director of Financial Planning giving them instant access to real-time financial information. Prior reports were done in Excel by summarizing general ledger balances which took hours to prepare.• Built a Visual Basic .NET application that integrated with the accounting software. This provided more accurate information to the Purchasing department by allowing users to update work order data that was previously uneditable. Previously, work order changes had to be manually communicated to Purchasing and often information was missed resulting in the purchase of incorrect materials.• Developed and defined several reports for Purchasing allowing them to identify excess inventory in stock and on order. Purchasing was able to reduce inventory levels by cancelling or postponing purchase orders that were not immediately needed. These reports also helped free up working capital during difficult times by avoiding the acquisition of inventory before it was needed.

This award is given to those individuals who exceeded expectations and made critical contributions to MedImpact’s success.• Acted as lead developer in a department of six developers guiding their development efforts and acting as subject matter expert on the systems in place.• Designed and maintained the core Access 2003 database that comprised the heart of MedImpact’s involvement in the Medicare Part D program, a program that accounted for a significant portion of MedImpact’s annual revenue.• Trained new developers on the pertinent aspects of the regulations associated with the Medicare Part D program and on the numerous Access 2003 databases developed to support those regulations.• Designed and developed an Access 2003 database that loaded a denormalized set of data from Excel 2003 workbooks, normalized the data, and then prepared adjusting entries that could be loaded into the main Oracle databases.

• Worked on-site for multiple clients in various industries providing customizations to Great Plains using a combination of VBA, VB.NET, and SQL Server.• Designed process in Great Plains using VBA, SQL stored procedures, and SQL triggers to automate the creation of accounts payable transactions from posted sales invoices.• Modified and improved VB.NET application to facilitate the processing of commissions, royalties, and licensing information.• Created SQL views to summarize accounts receivable information stored in the Great Plains database. These SQL views were then linked to Excel workbooks to provide easy access to the information.• Designed stored procedures and a SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services report to analyze sales data by territory and customer. This new report provided near-instant access to the sales data in lieu of the prior manual process that required hours to complete.
