Esprit Automation is the leading UK manufacturer of CNC plasma and oxy-fuel flame cutting machines, with a range of advanced solutions for customers covering a wide spectrum of industries throughout the world.As Project Manager, I am responsible for issuing detailed machine specifications to our production department, ensuring that machines are delivered exactly to customer requirements. I also liaise with customers to ensure that they are ready to accept delivery and have all installation preparations completed for when the machine is delivered. This can involve site visits, creating layout drawings, as well as writing method statements and risk assessments to ensure that machines are installed in compliance with applicable standards for safety gaps and safe operation.As an additional role I am also responsible for creating and maintaining company sales and technical documentation, including quotations, technical datasheets and service bulletins, as well as machine instruction manuals.

Wheelabrator Group Ltd provides global solutions to surface preparation needs for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. My role as project manager required me to design and manage standard and special machine builds (ranging in value from £30k up to £500k) from order point to machine despatch and onsite acceptance.This involved overseeing production of projects through the assembly shop to ensure machine specification, deadlines and budgets are met, as well as liaising with customers and chairing regular progress meetings.One of my principal achievements was to help maximise Wheelabrator sales in a previously unexplored market by designing and delivering the new range of Wheelabrator Smartline low cost, air blast cabinet machines to meet their group European requirements.
