This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent time management skills as well as quick decision making due to the short permits/timeframes we operated. In this role I must split my time between being a surveyor and a site manager the main duties of both are: Surveying Projects- Carry out a full site survey on each job with the customer to provide instructions to the team what they need to do to complete the project. This includes decisions on traffic management and time durations (for both the team and the permit). Liaising with the local highways authority and attending site meeting to plan high profile jobs/work in difficult locations. Once the survey has been completed I will then contact the customer to book the project in ensuring it’s a suitably skilled team. Site Management- Managing the team during the project ensuring they deliver the project on time and compliantly. Assisting with any HR issues the team may have and validating weekly time sheets so the team gets paid. Managing support staff ensuring that the team have the required plant/tooling/equipment on site to complete the project. Show less
