Projects:>Los Angeles World Airports - Landside Access Modernization Program (LAWA-LAMP) (Los Angeles)Managed the design of landside roadway improvements surrounding LAX.> Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project (San Diego)Provided Project Management Consultant (PMC) team support for SANDAG on the Engineering Phase of the Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project (MCCTP).MCCTP Purpose:The project will extend the existing Blue Line light rail to University Center, which includes the University of San Diego, San Diego Mesa Community College, and the University of California at San Diego. The project will improve access to University Center, Balboa, the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, north San Diego, and to all areas served by the existing light rail system. There is strong demand for transit in the corridor due to the highly developed, dense concentration of residential and institutional land uses. However, existing bus service is constrained by traffic on existing roads. There are geographic constraints that restrict the number of north-south roads, including several deep canyons and Mission Bay Park, resulting in few continuous north-south roadways and transit routes between University Center and downtown San Diego. By providing a dedicated guideway, the project will reduce the number of transfers required and improve transit travel times by ten minutes from the University Towne Centre Transit Center to downtown San Diego.

Led design team through PS&E projects from concept through construction. Managed many projects simultaneously with budgets between $2K - $1M. Designed and/or managed the design of traffic engineering plans including new and modified traffic signals, signal interconnect, signing/striping, street and pedestrian lighting, temporary traffic control and detour plans. Conducted geometric analyses, sight distance evaluations, and site access. Prepared signal warrant analyses, traffic impact studies, letter reports, and memorandums. Prepared proposals, design plans, cost estimates, and specifications for transportation infrastructure in public and private sectors.

Chula Vista

Provided engineering construction support for a $20M bridge widening project. Performed survey and layout. Prepared temporary traffic control and detour plans. Prepared shoring plans for excavations. Calculated/tracked quantities. Prepared contract change orders. Coordinated with the City of Chula Vista and Caltrans. Managed subcontractors, foreman, equipment operators, carpenters, and laborers. Supervised construction of sidewalks, curb/gutter, PCC freeway lanes, sound and retaining walls, drainage, grading, etc.
