Directing and producing the Blue Roots Denver Music & Lore television program.My co-director is on-air host Eric Troe of KUVO and Dr. Malcolm Lynn Baker, Director of Jazz Studies at University of Denver's Lamont School of Music is our educational director.This is a far reaching program to unify the Denver blues & jazz community and give visibility to Denver for the rich living heritage she possesses as a city for such. This history dates back to the Welton Street Juke Joint Era when famous people like Billy Holiday and others performed in our city.This film is being screened 4 times at the Five Points Jazz Festival 2014 Film Series at theprestigious McNichols Civic Center Building in downtown Denver. There will be a band fromthe film playing at each screening, catered food and special guests from the City Government, Denver Blues and Jazz Scene, Local Radio and Television.We have one of the richest blues and jazz scenes in the country and our own communityneeds to be educated about this fact and encouraged to come out and savor it. Denver is also a tourist city and this is a huge benefit that needs to be demonstrated on a national level.Lastly there are huge benefits to young people that can experience the music of this program in performances at schools, art departments and clinics in music classes. Blues and Jazzsaved my life and I know the inherent power of the art form. The elders of this music in our community have a giant gift to share and connect with youth who need direction, outlet for expression and connection to their roots.Blues and Jazz hold beauty and power that is often neglected. The mission of the Blue Roots Denver Music and Lore Program are to sing that song and tell an untold tale of the living history of Blues and Jazz that are a deep part of Colorado culture.

I coordinate the bands, sound and press for the 24th Annual Rockin' MDA live music benefit for Muscular Dystrophy. Last year we raised $8800! I was in this position the last four years.

Live Music Festival and Kansas City BBQ cookoff. For this event, at Spicy Music Productions, I book and contract the music groups (Lionel Young Band is our headline act). I purchase and contract the sound company and staging. I design the print, press release, radio PSA's and media materials and distribute them physically and electronically. I design and coordinate the band lineup in conjunction with the president of the Garden City Business Association. I also delegate responsibilities to a stage manager, sound engineers, staging assemblers, project managers and an advertising team. I also coordinate and direct a team of promoters to make visible our event.

I produce video and audio recordings for my band and for upcoming artists like Dredd Scott who was in the top 12 of hot selling original artist on Itunes. I manage bands, coordinate large outdoor and indoor events, promote them and record them in conjunction with Entertainment Research Group and Denver-Audio Studios.

I coordinated bands to perform at the 20th, 21st and 22nd Annual Rockin' MDA live music charities for muscular dystrophy. I created posters and flyers with photos of the main acts and showing our sponsorship. I coordinated major television coverage and radio interviews pre-show. I also provided the public address system, M.C.'d the events and performed in the events.Our events were in collaboration with Jerry's Kids Telethon.Our last event raised 11200.00 dollars.

My registered company that I book my band Roots & Rhythm under, other fine local talent and Live Music Festivals. I also do media promotion and print and web design for working musicians.

Coordinate performances of Roots & Rhythm and other music groups in the Denver, San Francisco and Austin areas. Coordinate outdoor concerts with multiple performing acts and artists.Record and promote Roots & Rhythm.

I front the band Roots & Rhythm, choose material and manage the band.

I choose the music, write music, write set lists, schedule personnel for performances, rehearsals and recordings. I contract shows with personnel and venues. I purchase insurance, costumes, live-sound operators, recording personel when necessary. I build a network of venues and musicians and coordinate the right people for the right show to play the right material for the right audience.I moderate the band and tailor the performance to background music for a dinner show or an all out theatrical concert for the right audience.I make sure everybody is transported on time for sound-check and performance. I make sure everyone is dressed appropriately. I make sure everyone stays sober and that we all work together effectively with dynamics of volume, style, rhythm, accent and authenticity of the genre as I see fit. I make sure we connect and communicate with the audience.I control set times and breaks.I control what is ordered and make sure every band memeber knows if we have a tab, how much and what for.I always dress in the highest old school style so people know what I'm about.I serve the people professionally and am calm or on fire as is needed at the appropriate times.I humbly thank my band members for playing and the audience for their attention.I play the part I'm called to.

I front the band on stage 4-7 shows every week in Denver and all over Colorado at the best venues. I choose the material and coordinate the sidemen & women. I produce recordings, photographs, videos and press materials to market the band effectively. Using these I book shows for the band. I network in the local blues and jazz scene to stay current on trends, venues, players and what is necessary to keep my band operating.
