Whilst remaining employed with The Good Guys, Mandurah, my role changed to full time Performance Coach and staff trainer.I provided induction training for new team members, and executed their registration to the company wide Certificate III Retail training program.I assisted all team members with the completion of their company online training program, including maintaining records of their progress and submitting reports to management. I maintained comprehensive records of all enrollment documents, all submitted course work, and all assessments performed with students. I conducted two sales assessments on behalf of the Registered Training Organization with the entire enrolled team. (Over 40 students)I provided regular personal one on one coaching to all members of the team to assist them to meet company sales objectives and to successfully achieve their individual Certificate III of Retail qualification. I presented training to groups on a daily basis. Each morning, Monday to Friday I took a group of between three and six team members through that week’s program. I managed the training roster to ensure all sales team members attended the training on one of the days each week.I developed specific topic group training programs in response to Learning Needs Analysis conducted personally and together with management team.I trained and coached the Mandurah Sales team to regularly achieve the highest ratings for sales in the WA stores group, and among the best teams in national rankings.In addition I performed the role of site safety officer, implementing site safety inspections, monitoring and organizing first-aid training, the role of first aid officer, and ensuring the site and activities maintained correct Work Health and Safety protocols.

During this time our department won several awards from Telstra, including second place nationally for new activations within the Harvey Norman Group.In addition, during this time I mentored several staff who were looking for promotion to new roles. One of my mentees subsequently left the role of Gaming manager at the O'Connor store and became the National Gaming Manager for the Harvey Norman Group in Australia. The second team member became a Franchisee in training, and now runs his own store.

After Harvey Norman purchased a number of Retravision outlets, the Fremantle store was selected to be traded until the end of the lease, then closed down. I was invited to work as the store manager during this shut down period.I led a team of 7 staff in this small store, and our team effectively traded the business, achieving a 25% improvement in the stores business before closure.During the clearance sales we successfully cleared almost all of the remaining stock, with only two small boxes of stock being transferred to other stores after closure.

Within 9 months I grew the digital camera section of the department from Approximately $2000 per month turnover to a regular monthly turnover in excess of $85,000.In February 2004 I began work as Store Second in Charge. I was responsible for staff management and training, oversight of daily activities in the shop, customer service, Inventory management for the store, and also ran the communications (mobile phones) section of the business.I remained in this role until August 2006.
