I am a highly effective International Relations and Education professional who seeks creative solutions to problems and constantly strives to add new value to a position. I am a patient, intelligent individual with a strong academic background and broad international experience.As a senior research analyst at Washington CORE, I lead research teams on a variety of projects focused primarily on science and technology policy issues. My portfolio includes foreign policy, national security and defense, and a variety of technically complex emerging technology fields, recently including border security, big data, medical devices, and rare earth metals. As an active field researcher, I regularly travel to different parts of the globe, primarily in Asia and Oceania, to conduct in-depth interviews with policy and technology specialists.I joined Washington CORE full-time in January of 2012. Previously I was completing my M.A. in Asian Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs, where my studies focused on Asian politics, security, and economics. While completing my M.A., I was an intern with the Korea Economic Institute, where I conducted research on Korea's economic policies and trade relations, and at the U.S. Department of State, where I worked with the desk responsible for U.S. policy regarding Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
