I love talking to people, even strangers, to learn about their backgrounds and what drives and motivates them. People often ask if I'm in sales.Funnily enough, I have spent 12+ years as a mechanical engineer designing and testing complex HVAC systems for colleges and universities, medical centers, biocontainment research laboratories, and military bases with project sizes often reaching into the multi-million dollar range.In addition, I've held four different roles in various engineering functions, which has given me a comprehensive understanding of project planning and implementation, from the initial sale to design and installation to completion and hand-off to the customer.For me, the excitement of the work comes from understanding the problem at hand and then putting on my thinking cap to devise logical and effective solutions to get the job done on time and within budget. Ensuring my customers, whether internal or external, are well taken care of is my number one goal.
