My job as a Safety Engineer requires me to identify health and safety issues at employer sites within the Greater Bay Area. One of the main focuses of my job is to identify workplace safety and health hazards, and recommend corrective action. Determine what occupational safety and health standards are violated by identified hazards and prepare reports, and correspondence to our clients accordingly. Conduct inspections of businesses, construction sites and other places of employment including those with the most complex operations and greatest hazards to workers, to determine whether employers are operating in compliance with the state’s occupational safety and health standards. Investigate accidents and serious exposures resulting in catastrophes, fatalities, injuries and illnesses. Another important component of my work is to write comprehensive, detailed reports for executives and safety management of policyholders using digital photos, charts, graphs and other Excel functions, PowerPoint, and Word for policyholders outlining my inspection findings.

Inspections also detail any safety hazards that an employer mat be in violation of according to Cal/OSHA regulations.
