Responsibilities include overseeing and directing the bookkeeping firm on both accounts payable and receivable, with revenue streams in c3 and c4 and political action committee (PAC) entities, as well as the primary responsibility for annual budgeting and working with the bookkeeping and accounting firms on audits, and 990s for all entities. At my time of departure, revenue had grown to $3.3M and 7400 members along with an operating budget of $5.8M (including the foundation and political action committee). Rebranded the organization and enhanced communication efforts, including artistic design of editorial and marketing efforts, website, social media, and newsletters. In addition, held leadership responsibility for the Texas Architects Foundation which issued scholarships annually, handling applications, disbursements, and communications with universities, recipients, and donors.Key Accomplishments and Achievements • Oversaw Grant Management and scholarships achieving growth of 56.2% over ten years, despite making annual awards of 4-5%; awarded 65 scholarships in 2020.• Over 10 years, fundraising for the Society, which was focused on the tradeshow of the convention. Raised fees and increased the floor-space of the "premier" exhibitors, as well as added new vendors. In 2010, the actual revenue for convention exhibits was $365K; in 2020, it was $560K - with an additional $245K in sponsorship revenue created during my tenure. • Assisted in setting up one of the first AIA state programs for diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion as well as strategically working to increase the diversity of members with state and local boards. • Managed Political Action Committee & fundraising to meet its goals (approx. $300K per election cycle) Show less

Proceeded to negotiate, scale up, and integrate five organizations into a single management organization. Led a diverse team to create an aggressive vision and strategy, uniting five music and arts education associations (501(c)3’s) under a single umbrella for strengthened messaging, achieving economies of scale, and enhanced legislative efforts on behalf of Arts Education. While assuming the role of the association’s first Executive Director, led a core team of 6 and a budget of $750K. At the end of my tenure, the operating budget of the Center for Fine Arts Education was approximately $4M.
