In Canada, I have worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 4 years between 2012 and 2016, on an acute care unit; medical and surgical floor at Stettler Hospital and Care Center. I transitioned into the new role as a Registered Nurse (graduated with BSN) on June 2016, and found work in the same specialty and expanded further into getting more experience on a cardiac unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital. On February 2017, I moved to San Antonio, Texas, US to work abroad with a valid TN Visa permit which I now have my permanent residence. I have worked for Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation in South San Antonio, Texas which I have been stationed on a skilled nursing unit. Later, on May 2017, I found a new position within the Baptist Health System (BHS), at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital on a medical/oncology unit. In the beginning of January 2022, I transferred to ICU within BHS to further expand my knowledge and nursing practice. On May 2023, I proceeded to pursue travel nursing with American Mobile Nursing (AMN) agency. I am took an assignment working for Lifespan Rhode Island Hospital on a Neuro ICU unit and then on a Surgical/Trauma PCU floor. On June 2024, I took another assignment at Avera McKennan Hospital on a PCU Cardiac/Pulmonary floor. Furthermore, I am trained in monitoring, recording and reporting changes in patient's status. I understand to adhere to professional practice standards, code of ethics, and hospital/agency's polices and procedures. In prior experience, I have been assigned as the Falls Prevention Champion, Tissue Integrity Champion, Chemotherapy certified, Preceptor, and Charge Nurse. Hence, my past and current experience allows for great confidence in providing safe and quality care for patients by assisting them in their daily living, communicating and listening to clients' concerns and needs, assessing and observing their health conditions, planning the care thru collaboration with the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team, implementing the care plan, and evaluating those outcomes. Finally, I am committed to being a life long learner and I will always continue to strive my very best in my nursing practice.
