I am a shareholder with Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley PA. I am a West Palm Beach native and had the honor of serving with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. I also was honored with being permitted to study at St. Edmund Hall in Oxford, England. I am an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell and an EAGLE member and past chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Justice Association. I am a sustaining member of The American Association for Justice, served as chair of their Professional Negligence Section and am a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). I have been voted by my peers to be admitted to Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend's Legal Elite, and Florida SuperLawyers. I love to write and speak and have had the opportunity to moderate and lecture at numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars and have authored Continuing Legal Education materials for The Florida Bar, the Journal of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and ATLA's Trial magazine.After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State University, I studied law with my alma mater as well. I was a member of the moot court team and Phi Delta Phi, and graduated with honors.I began my legal career in 1994 with Freeman, Hunter & Malloy in Tampa, defending health care providers, product manufacturers, and cases involving general liability. In 1997, he joined Masterson, Rogers, Woodworth, Masterson & Lopez in St. Petersburg, litigating medical malpractice and product liability claims. In 2002 I joined Searcy Denney and opened our Tallahassee office.
