Assist researchers and administrators with interpreting guidelines and policies, developing and reviewing budgets, and reviewing contracts for compliance with internal and external regulations

Act as a liaison between the research community, IRB Committees and IRB office staff. Provide educational support and training to Committee members, study staff and physicians and IRB staff. Screen and process new protocol submissions, protocol renewals, amended protocols and consent forms for completeness and accuracy. Assist the Chairs and Vice-Chairs in the management of committee meetings, act as a regulation resource during committee meetings, record minutes and pertinent information. Have the ability to work under high pressure situations, perform duties independently and initiate judgment in handling questions and phone calls.

Act as a liaison between the IRB Specialist and the IRB Administrative Assistant. Screen and process new protocol submissions, protocol renewals, amended protocols and consent forms for completeness and accuracy. Assist the attending specialist by acting as a regulation resource during committee meetings, maintain and update the IRBe database, schedule items for Committee review, organize member attendance, finalize minutes and consent forms (Microsoft Word and Adobe).

Provide support to the Specialist of the IRB Orange Thursday Committee. Perform a wide variety of technical support and customer service duties. Assist in gathering data and processing protocols for specialist review, communicate with physician investigators to assist and solve submission problems and general submission questions, give support to the attending specialist at the committee meeting, prepare and finalize minutes and consent forms (Microsoft Word and Adobe), filing and copying documents.
