Working with young people has been a passion of mine since I was young. Through volunteering in youth organizations, hosting foreign exchange students and teaching in the local school district I have gained experience that continues to lead me down a path of being a lifelong learner. History and Ag Education/FFA are my subject specialties. Connecting youth with the world around them through in-depth project based strategies is my philosophy for a hands on approach that makes learning applicable to life. Community engagement and civic service opportunities have enriched my life by networking with the greatest people on earth. I’ve boasted the beauty and activities of a community I love by developing websites and a blog to showcase the beauty of North Park and tales of the incredible people touched by the area. My passion for photography has led me on an artistic journey to preserve memories and focus on the details of what make life so beautiful. My photography has been published in American Cowboy magazine, Colorado Life and used by the Colorado Scenic Byways in publications for the CDOT. I have postcards that showcase the beauty of North Park and an annual calendar. If you make it to the Colorado Capital Building week out the Scenic Byway exhibit showcasing the “Cemetery Moose Trio.”I love to travel and have seen every state, except Wisconsin. There is so much pulling at me to explore and discover still. I struggle to find balance in the richness of opportunities and beauty that surrounds me. I’m many things... a photographer, a chef, a mom, a wife, a teacher, a learner, a servant, a grower, a naturalist, a patriot, a writer, a photographer, a business person! I love what life has to offer and hope I never stop soaking up the vigor of life. My family is the cornerstone of my life and the foundation that makes it all possible. I hope I’ve instilled a love for learning, exploring and seeking happiness in my children and the generations to come.
