Strategic Business Improvement Lead, June 2010 to March 2017Premier Foods PLC – St Albans (Currently has 10 sites, 4,000 employees, Turnover circa £780m, Notable FMCG brands such as Bisto, Oxo, Sharwoods, Ambrosia, Mr Kipling & Batchelors) Key achievements: Cost out • Designed & delivered bespoke cost out programmes for all of Premier Foods FMCG product categories & BU’s • Brand centric focus to deliver equal to or better than current product quality• Extensive collaboration with multiple based Technical, Procurement, Operations, Marketing and external end to end partners.• Developed new interpretation of value engineering skills which are portable pan FMCG & non FMCG.Commercial arena• Designed and delivered key margin improvement programme generating £10M opportunity in 2015/6.• Co-creation of category , customer & brand segmentation lenses • Creation of P & L decision support material • Defined specific lever mechanics per category from price pack architecture platforms to value engineering • Fuel for business growth & platforms for brand growth• Key role in several extensive SKU rationalisation programmes across the business.

• Responsible for the P & L delivery of this £120m category. Through my team I was accountable for all aspects of Marketing, NPD, Promotions and Strategy development for the business unit. • Stewardship of brands such as Branston pickles and sauces, Sarsons vinegar, Haywards pickles, Saxa salt plus an extensive own label business. • Senior stakeholder management whilst working collaboratively with the sales and supply chain. • Delivered multi media campaigns for Branston alongside several NPD platforms. • Delivered on average 0% to 3.5% YOY growth in Net Sales and maintained averaged GPAS levels of 38%. • Left this arena to take up a number 2 position in a new Value engineering function within Premier Foods where I could learn more about operations and the total end 2 end Supply Chain in order to widen my experience.
