For the academic year 2014-15, I have been retained by Landon to facilitate the transition in the College Counseling office, to make recommendations regarding increasing coordination with Holton-Arms School, and to review the experience of students in their Form VI (senior) year and to make recommendations for creative change in the Form VI curriculum.

Landon is an independent boys day school, grades 3-12. As Director of College Counseling, I work with Upper School students and families, counseling and advising them on college selection and placement, organizing and conducting workshops on the college admissions process, and writing secondary school reports on each member of the senior class. Additionally, I am a Department Chair, serve on the Education Committee of the Board of Trustees and the Headmaster’s Consult, and have served as one of two Upper School representatives to the Headmaster's Advisory Committee. In 2002/2003, I chaired the Search Committee for the school’s new Athletic Director and currently Co-Chair the Gender Equity Committee.As a member of the History department, I teach a senior seminar on Critical Issues in the Middle East. I have also taught a freshman course on 20th Century World History. I am the head coach of the junior varsity baseball team.In January 2008, I thoroughly enjoyed a six-month sabbatical as a Fellow at St. Andrews University in Scotland.

The Ellington Fund is a private, non-profit organization created to support the Duke Ellington School of the Arts; s public high school for talented and creative students. As Director of The Ellington Fund, I was responsible for raising funds (approximately $750,000 per year) to supplement the school's budget. Through proposals to private companies, foundations, individuals, and public agencies, the Fund also organized and implemented special programs to enhance the quality of education in the school. I also implemented the school's first College Counselor program.

I was the first manager of a nationwide geography contest (The National Geography Bee) for over 83,000 elementary and junior high schools. My duties included project management, public relations, marketing, and volunteer recruitment.

Special Olympics provides sports training and competition to individuals with mental retardation in over 140 countries around the world. As Director of International Programs, my duties included program evaluation, Board development, volunteer training, public relations, and supervising a multi-national staff with offices in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.

Islam Centennial Fourteen was a non-profit corporation organized by the business and academic communities to inform Americans about the richness and diversity of Islamic culture through a series of arts and educational programs. My specific responsibility was to direct the development program, which raised $3.7 million from corporations, foundations, and individuals in the United States and abroad. Upon completion of the Committee's programs, ICF merged with

I managed a credit portfolio of over 80 domestic and international customers. I was trained in economic and political risk analysis, loan procedures and documentation, industry reviews, and rating credit worthiness. I was also given the opportunity to write an in-depth report for the Investment Policy Committee recommending establishment of commercial banking relations with the Republic of Indonesia.

I supervised and supported 90 Peace Corps Volunteers working in the fields of education and professional services. My specific duties included developing country management plans, editing a teacher's manual for English instruction in Tunisian secondary schools, and conducting in-service workshops for volunteers. I had temporary staff assignments in Morocco and Afghanistan, and during my term of service, volunteer attrition in my programs declined from over 50% to less than 7%.

I was a member of a select team, which organized and led cross-cultural training and assessment programs for prospective Peace Corps Volunteers in cities across America.

Assigned to the Ministry of Youth & Sports, I taught physical education in a secondary school and coached the local basketball team. I also participated in the training of the Tunisian national basketball team prior to the 1972 Olympic Games.I
