I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Social Work. I am the new School and Family Support Social Worker at Bucyrus Elementary. I work with students and families to provide community resources and mental health supports. I am responsible to teach character education and coping skills to students to assist in creating a more positive environment. I was employed prior as a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist through RFS Behavioral Services. In this position I’ll proved mental health services within the classroom and in the community. I’ll specifically be assigned to children in grades K to 5. Prior I was employed as an elementary school secretary. I handle the office needs of Bucyrus Elementary. I was also assigned to the Pre School team where I am responsible for staff and family support. However, my social work path started when I worked for Crawford County in Case Management for over 9 years. I have an understanding of Child Support Policies pursuant to the Ohio Administrative Code. I reviewed and evaluated judgment entries and enforced accordingly. Established paternity and child support orders. Attended court hearings and worked with our prosecutors to provide pertinent information for the specific needs of the hearing, which included testifying to case information. I maintained a 1000 + caseload.
