I was trained by Rae Davies, Administrative Director for the International MotherBaby Childbirth Organization and past Executive Director of the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS), completing my DONA doula training workshop as well as my breastfeeding requirements. I have spent hundreds of hours studying fertility, conception, pregnancy, labor, and birth, holding the works of Ina May Gaskin, Robbie Davis-Floyd, Debra Pascali-Bonaro, Michel Odent, and Marsden Wagner in highest regard, just to name a few, and have assisted many women along their journeys to becoming mothers. I currently provide private Childbirth Preparedness Education based on the BirthWorks philosophy of the innate knowledge of birth and the benefit of education and informed decision making and serve as a birth doula for the areas of Laporte, Bellvue, Fort Collins, and Wellington, CO, farther with special arrangement. I have been assisting women in birth preparation since early 2011 and am now pursuing my BirthWorks Teacher Certification, hoping to teach Group Birthworks Classes in the near future.I believe in the power of women. I believe that as women we are made to birth easily and without unbearable pain. I believe in your ability to define what YOU want your birth to be. And I would love to help you achieve the beautiful birth you desire.Though my primary focus is on Natural (intervention-free) Birth, I am ready to support you no matter how you choose to birth.
