Jamie Murray Email and Phone Number
Currently I work as a Flight Dynamics Engineer at Intuitive Machines. I worked on the attitude timeline of the IM-1 mission to the Moon and supported mission operations by providing necessary analyzes for in flight decision making. My analytical work includes landing site evaluation, lower fidelity mission products for subsystems including vehicle Power and Thermal, as well as visual representations of mission timelines.I worked at Boeing for 2 years as a Model and Simulation Engineer. I worked with a cross-functional team to support impactful model and simulation efforts. I also generated post simulation analyses to assist in high level program decision making.I graduated from Purdue University in December 2020 with a Master's degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering with a concentration in Astrodynamics. During my graduate studies I worked as a graduate teaching assistant for the Mathematics Department and the Physics Department. In these roles I helped students with homework assignments, prepare for tests, and properly follow lab instructions. My internship experience consists of a summer internship as a Power/Thermal Engineer Intern at SES in 2019. I helped develop tools to analyze live telemetry data from the fleet of satellites to assist in monitoring the fleet's Power and Thermal health. The output of these analyses were also used in attitude pointing decision making.I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics with a minor in Applied Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in May 2018. During my undergraduate studies I worked on several projects including developing a CubeSat design for my senior design project and building a sun pointing sensor for a satellite. I also worked as a teaching assistant leading supplemental instruction sessions to aid students with homework and prepare for tests.

Mathematics Department Graduate Teaching AssistantPurdue University Aug 2020 - Dec 2020Lafayette, Indiana Metropolitan AreaAnswered questions on online forum posed by students. -
Phyics Lab Graduate Teaching AssistantPurdue University Jan 2020 - May 2020Lafayette, Indiana AreaAssists students through weekly labs by answering any questions they encounter while performing this lab. Tutors students at the Physics Help Center and helps them understand any concepts they are struggling with. -
Mathematics Department Graduate Teaching AssistantPurdue University Aug 2019 - Dec 2019Lafayette, Indiana AreaReviewed the class materials and generated guided practice for students. Demonstrated correct methods used to solve problems in homework assignments. Devised quizzes to test students’ knowledge on concepts covered in lectures and assignments. Conducted office hours to offer students extra assistance. -
Power/Thermal Engineering InternSes Satellites May 2019 - Aug 2019Princeton, NjCreated MATLAB codes to automate the procedure of downloading and then calculating values for necessary satellite operation. Tabulated the raw battery and solar array data from satellites on a daily or as needed basis for the operation engineers. Created visual displays which updated in real time with the status of on-board heaters. Participated in team meetings and observed decision making processes taking place to gain professional experience. Collaborated with team members on projects which would assist the overall team in day-to-day operation of the fleet. -
Lab InstructorEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University Aug 2018 - May 2019Daytona Beach, Florida AreaLed students through weekly experiments that demonstrated basic physics concepts. Prepared lesson plans to refresh students on the concepts they were testing each week. Graded quizzes, homework assignments, and lab guides. Troubleshot faulty equipment so students can finish the experiment correctly. -
Research AssistantEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University Oct 2017 - May 2019Daytona Beach, Florida AreaI used MATLAB to simulate the effects of natural hazards on the upper atmosphere and ionosphere in terms of detectable variations in total electron content (TEC). I also modeled the effect of satellite viewing geometry and station position on the observable TEC variations in the upper atmosphere in the wake of natural hazards. -
Physical Science Department GraderEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University Aug 2015 - Oct 2017Daytona BeachI assisted two physics professors by grading approximately 50 students weekly homeworks. I had to be self-motivated to perform tasks by a certain deadline without direct supervision. I have previously conducted Supplementary Instruction Sessions to help ensure the students understood the material being taught in class. -
Undergraduate Student ResearcherEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University May 2017 - Aug 2017Daytona Beach, FloridaIn this position I researched a variety of antenna deployment mechanisms for CubeSats. I then built basic prototypes of the antenna deployment mechanisms I researched. After the prototypes were built, I designed an antenna deployment mechanism based on the prototypes that were built. I also updated my supervisor and teammates by sending out weekly reports in the form of PowerPoints.
