Jamie Samograd is an Infrastructure and Deal Advisory Partner, based in Toronto, with a focus on Infrastructure Investments and M&A, specializing in financial due diligence, transaction management and financings. He works closely with pension plans, infrastructure funds, private equity funds and strategic buyers to plan and execute on investments, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and divestitures. In his 25 years of experience both in Canada and the UK, Jamie has led transactions in several sectors including regulated utilities, renewable energy (wind, solar, RNG, energy storage), telecommunications and digital infrastructure (fibre, small cell/DAS, cellular towers, data centres), transportation (roads, rail, ports and airports), agriculture, healthcare (hospital mergers, IVF and women's health, pharma, medical equipment and supplies), energy infrastructure, oil and gas and mining. Jamie is the national leader for the infrastructure advisory practice in Canada. In this role, Jamie collaborates with a network of KPMG professionals supporting infrastructure clients. The broader infrastructure team advises public and private entity asset owners throughout an asset’s lifecycle with a mix of backgrounds including engineering, finance, asset management, investment, environment/sustainability and public policy/government experience.
