Helped to sustain and create opportunities for the ideas, values and views of the collective voluntary sector to affect policy change across Scotland.Was responsible for animating the voice the voice of SCVO members and the wider voluntary sector by engaging with them, gathering intelligence that helped SCVO spot trends, identifying key issues and understanding what is going on in the voluntary sector.Additionally, I looked to ensure that external stakeholders in the voluntary sector as well as civil society, public and private sectors were engaged with and involved in SCVO’s policy work.across Scotland.

Built and executed breakthrough political and NHS campaigns to deliver tangible policy change for clients across the pharmaceutical and charity sector.Oversaw the running of environment changing events for a range of audiences including politicians, policy makers, NHS stakeholders and patient groups within the healthcare sector and beyond. Delivered important intelligence to clients by utilising appropriate professional and personal networks, as well as using own expertise and insight in policy areas such as cardiovascular disease, oncology, immunology and corporate affairs. Drafted reports with impact for clients on a varied number of topics including trade/business policy, disease or NHS policy areas. Also facilitated the management of expert steering groups to drive thought-leadership for clients and initiate policy change.
